You have probably heard that this idea is being considered for introduction at the end of the year and today I want to know what you think about it. Minister Shane Ross said that he believes that if even one life can be saved with such a law, then it’s worth introducing.
Some people however think that it’s a pointless exercise, saying that more checkpoints and stiffer sentences are a bigger deterrent.
A man called into the show to share the harrowing story of how his daughter was killed by a driver over the drink driving limit. Then a woman confessed that she had been a serial drink driver until she made the decision to give up alcohol.
